Sportsbook Rules

Last updated: 30 September 2026

1. General

1.1. These Sportsbook Rules apply to all sports bets placed on grailbet.com and form part of the Terms of Service. If a market has its own rules displayed with it, those rules apply to that market.

1.2. A bet is valid only when it has been accepted by our system and appears in your bet history. We may refuse any bet, or accept only part of a stake, at our discretion.

1.3. Minimum and maximum stakes and maximum payouts are shown on the bet slip and may be set per Customer, per event and per market.

1.4. The maximum win on any single bet, or combination of related bets, is USD 500,000 or equivalent, unless a higher limit has been approved in writing for your account as part of VIP status. Any amount above the applicable limit is void and will not be credited.

1.5. Odds, lines and markets may change at any time before a bet is accepted. Once accepted, a bet is settled at the odds shown in your bet history, except where these Rules state otherwise.

1.6. You cannot cancel a bet once it has been accepted, except through the Cash Out feature where offered.

2. Settlement

2.1. Bets are settled on the official result declared by the relevant governing body or event organiser at the end of the event, or on the official data from our data provider. Later changes to results, such as disqualifications, appeals or doping cases, do not affect settlement, unless the result was changed before our settlement and within 72 hours of the event ending.

2.2. Unless stated otherwise, markets are settled on regular time only. Regular time includes injury or stoppage time added by the referee, but excludes extra time, overtime and penalty shoot-outs.

2.3. Markets marked "including overtime" or "to qualify" include extra time and penalties where played.

2.4. If a result cannot be verified from an official or reliable independent source, we may void the affected bets.

2.5. Settlement is final after 72 hours. After that, we will only correct a settlement in the case of an obvious error.

3. Void bets

3.1. A void bet is settled at odds of 1.00 and the stake is returned. In a multiple bet, a void selection is removed and the bet is settled on the remaining selections.

3.2. Bets are void where:

  • the event does not start at the scheduled date and time and is not played within 48 hours of the scheduled start, except for tournament outright markets
  • the event is abandoned or suspended and not completed within 48 hours, unless the outcome of the market was already decided
  • the venue changes to the opponent's home ground, except for neutral venues and international tournaments
  • a competitor or team name is materially wrong
  • a price was obviously wrong (palpable error) or a bet was accepted after the market should have been suspended

3.3. For abandoned events, markets already decided before the abandonment are settled; all other markets are void.

4. Palpable errors and late bets

4.1. If a bet is accepted at odds or a line that is clearly wrong compared with the general market at the time, or is clearly incorrect given the probability of the outcome, we may void the bet or settle it at the correct odds available when it was placed.

4.2. Bets placed after an event has started, other than live bets, or live bets placed after an outcome was known or a significant incident (such as a goal, red card or penalty award) had occurred, are void.

4.3. Where a feed delay or technical failure causes a bet to be accepted on outdated information, we may void the bet.

5. Live betting

5.1. Live bets may be subject to a short acceptance delay. The odds may change during this delay and the bet will only be accepted at the new odds if you have accepted odds changes.

5.2. Live scores, times and statistics shown on the Service are for information only. We are not liable for errors in them. Settlement follows Section 2.

6. Multiple bets and bet builders

6.1. Selections that are related, where one outcome affects the probability of another, cannot be combined in a multiple unless offered in a bet builder. If related selections are combined in error, we may void the bet or settle it at corrected odds.

6.2. A multiple bet wins only if all selections win. If any selection loses, the whole bet loses.

6.3. System bets are made up of all the combinations of a given size in the selection. Each combination is settled as a separate multiple.

7. Cash Out

7.1. Cash Out, where available, lets you settle a bet before the event ends for the amount offered. The amount is not guaranteed until your request is accepted.

7.2. We may suspend or withdraw Cash Out at any time without notice. If a Cash Out is accepted in error, for example after an outcome was already known, we may cancel it and settle the original bet.

8. Dead heats

Where two or more competitors tie for a position and no tie-breaker applies, the stake is divided by the number of tied competitors and paid at full odds on the resulting stake. The rest of the stake is lost.

9. Outright and futures markets

9.1. Outright bets stand regardless of withdrawals, eliminations or rule changes, and are settled on the official result of the competition. There is no refund if a selection does not take part.

9.2. If a competition is abandoned or not completed within the same season, outright bets are void unless the governing body declares an official result.

10. Player markets

10.1. Player markets stand if the player takes part in the event at any point. If the player does not take part, bets are void.

10.2. Player statistics are settled on official data published by the governing body. Corrections made after settlement are only taken into account if made within 72 hours.

11. Sport-specific rules

Football (soccer)

  • Markets are settled on 90 minutes plus stoppage time unless stated otherwise.
  • Own goals do not count for goalscorer markets.
  • For first goalscorer markets, a player who comes on after the first goal has been scored counts as a non-runner and bets are void.
  • Corners and cards markets are settled on official match data. A red card counts as 2 cards and a second yellow followed by a red counts as 3 cards in booking points markets.

Basketball

  • Markets include overtime unless stated otherwise.
  • Quarter and half markets are settled on the score at the end of that period and exclude overtime, except fourth quarter and second half markets, which include it.

Tennis

  • If a match starts but is not completed, all bets are void except for markets already decided (for example first set winner).
  • If a match changes surface or venue, bets stand.
  • A player retiring or being disqualified results in void bets on the match winner market, unless the market has already been decided.

Ice hockey

  • Markets are settled on regular time (three periods) unless stated otherwise. Markets marked "including overtime and penalties" include them.

American football

  • Markets include overtime unless stated otherwise. Quarter and half markets follow the same rules as basketball.

Baseball

  • Markets include extra innings. A game is official after 5 innings (4.5 if the home team is leading). If a game is called before it becomes official, bets are void unless already decided.
  • Listed pitcher markets are void if a listed pitcher does not start. Action markets stand regardless of starting pitcher.

MMA and boxing

  • Bets are settled on the official result announced in the ring or octagon. If the bout is declared a draw and a draw option was not offered, bets are void.
  • If the number of scheduled rounds changes, round betting markets are void. If a bout does not take place within 48 hours of the scheduled date, bets are void.

Esports

  • Bets are settled on the official result from the tournament organiser. A match stands if it is played with substitute players.
  • If a map or match is replayed from the start by decision of the organiser, bets on it are settled on the replayed result. If a match is awarded by walkover or forfeit before it starts, bets are void.
  • Start times are indicative. Bets stand if the match is played within 48 hours of the scheduled start.

12. Integrity

12.1. You must not bet on any event in which you, a family member or anyone you represent is a participant, official, coach or staff member, or on which you hold inside information.

12.2. We may void bets and suspend accounts where we have reasonable grounds to believe an event has been manipulated or a bet was placed with inside information, and we may share information with sports governing bodies, integrity organisations and law enforcement.

12.3. We may limit stakes, void bets and close accounts for syndicate betting, arbitrage between Customers, or use of automated tools to place bets.
